All Shook Down
There’s a version online in open E, but I find it can be played in standard using some standard PW chord shapes. This may not be exactly it, but fool around with it a little.
Standard tuning
Esus2 0.9.9.11.0.0
E6 0.11.11.13.0.0
E 0.14.14.16.0.0
Amaj9 x.0.11.13.0.0
A6/9 x.0.9.11.0.0
A6/9(2) x.0.4.6.0.0
Asus2 x.0.2.4.0.0
B6add11 7.x.6.8.0.0
E(2) 0.2.2.4.0.0
Asus2(2) x.0.14.16.0.0
E(3) 0.7.9.9.0.0
The main figure is this:
Esus2 — E6 — E Amaj9 — A6/9 — Amaj9 — A6/9
Listen to get the strum.
Then the chorus is
{Fifth gripping week} A6/9(2) — Asus2 — A6/9(2)
{An absolute must} B6add11
{One of the year’s} A6/9(2) — Asus2 — A6/9(2)
{best ain’t saying much} E(2)
{Throwing us trunks as we’re . . .} A6/9(2) — Asus2 — A6/9(2)
{. . . starting to drown] A6/9 — Amaj9
{All shook down} Asus2(2) — Amaj9 — Asus2(2) — Amaj9 — Esus2 — E6 — E
Every now and then, he reverses the sliding E lick, so it’s E6 — Esus2 — E(3)
It looks more complicated than it is. The shape he’s moving around on the D and G strings is the same throughout the whole song.
