Any help with the end?
maybe it's the change of season that is in the air or the distance between us that's measured with a calendar a hundred different reasons to stay in your room and they're only excuses only excuses they're only excuses for feelin like you do
going out like you used to do doesn't thrill much anymore there's better things to do seen that band no reason to see them again there's a hundred different reasons why a loser just can't win
and they're only excuses only excuses only excuses for feeling bad
and they're only excuses only excuses only excuses / [are way so bad]? / [are way so bad]?

Not as blatant as "Finally Here Once" = INXS "This Time", but....
damn if this song doesn't remind me of Neil Young's "After The Gold Rush".
This is getting very, very weird.

"I'm singing a borrowed tune/I took from the Rolling Stones" -- Neil Young, Borrowed Tune
FWIW, I heard Neil in this one too.

Has anybody ever thought the Replacements got their name from "After the Gold Rush?"
I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for a replacement When the sun burst through the sky. There was a band playing in my head And I felt like getting high.
