During the first 30 seconds or so I hear what I think is a stopwatch ticking. Anyone else hear this? Or it could be the sound of a cd skipping. It's down in the mix and you probably need headphones to hear it. The more I listen to these songs the more I hear going on in the background. Paul was busy when he mixed this sucker.

Finally dawned on me that this song's sound reminds me of The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.
That feeling is reinforced by the opening lyric about our drownded man, and the injected song's lyric about a sinking or sunken ship.
Plus there's Paul's stated interest in a Lightfoot lyric as the epitaph on his own gravestone.

One thing to throw out there: 'Already fixed mine' (brandy)--thought Paul was clean? (reference the later obvious track here too)
