"Visitor's Day"
Well, it wouldn’t hurt you to see your grandma
Every now and again, I’m sure your ma would drive.
Don’t bother visiting my father.
Since they laid him out yonder, when he died.
You could try callin one of your aunties
Leave a message tellin that you want me to be surprised.
But I wouldn’t be upset
If they were taking care of their pets, and there was no reply.
On visitor’s day
I’d love to hear you say,
“I miss you, daddy, with all my mind.”
On visitor’s day
In my cell I’ll stay.
If I don’t see you, I’ll figure you couldn’t get a ride.
You can count on your uncle
To call when he’s drunk, he’ll promise you a lift at any time.
Then, once he’s thrown up,
You know he’ll never show up, cause he’ll wait until you cry.
On visitor’s day
Long to hear you say,
“I miss you, daddy, with all my mind.”
On visitor’s day
In my cell I’ll stay.
If I don’t see you, I’ll figure you couldn’t catch a ride.
And there’s nothing sadder than hell
Than staying in your cell
On visitor’s day all the way to visitor’s night.
On visitor’s day
I’ll love to hear you say,
“I miss you, daddy, with all, all my mind.”
On visitor’s day
In my cell I’ll stay
If I don’t see you, I’ll figure you couldn’t get a ride.
By the time you get your license
I’ll be up for parole twice and twice as nice.
Maybe it’s better[glow=red,2,300]you wrote me a letter[/glow]You can lie all you want without havin to look me in the eye.
