Bombpop - Thanks for posting the list - Now my feeble mind can recal some more details...
You are probably right about the second song and the trip into the crowd. I was crossing my fingers that it would be I Will Dare, as it had been in earlier set lists, but I can't remember either.
Can't believe I remembered Let the Bad Times Roll Being in the encore. I just remember it being awesome.
What happened with the mic going into the crowd was that the monitors stopped working, at which point Paul took the mic from the stand and held it up to the monitors. He said, "See, (roadie's name), that means their not working." I took this to mean that since there was no feedback, which is what would normally happen, the monitors were dead. Shortly thereafter, he tossed the mic into the crowd, I think because he could not hear himself.
I totally forgot the Sham 69 cover. And If I had a Hammer. I knew there was a cover in the encore.
To further elaborate on the "only bothered to learn the good ones" he also said they only learned ones in A and E.
The Jacket burning happened after the encore. It looked like we were going to get a second encore, but it turned out to be the burning instead. Paul and Jim (I think) quickly came to the front of the stage and squirted something (lighter fluid?) and lit it. We actually thought it was the Wal-Mart Guitar until we saw the posts about the green jacket.
Did they play Here comes a Regular?
Something else that was interesting about this experience was some of the stories of the folks at the meet and greet. The first guy in line was a guy who drove down from DC, who had been at the DC show with his girlfriend. They waited a while in the rain for the DC meet and greet, but left (at the DC guy's urging) 10 minutes before Paul came out of the bus to sign stuff. Apparently, his girlfriend is a huge Paul fan, and because they missed Paul, she broke up with him. A big fan himself, he then decided to attend the Charleston show (7 1/2 Drive) to get something signed for himself, not for her. We heard the story before the show as he told it to someone we knew. We ended up right behind him in line at the M&G, and he got his picture with Paul and something signed. Right behind us were two girls who had a mutual boyfriend that had fooled around with both of them, and who was a huge Paul fan, so they got Paul to pose with them for a picture with the three of them giving the bird. I can just imagine the stories Paul must hear when he meets his fans!
