Yeah it was Paul on the drums Michaelb on the bass and Jim on vocals and guitar. It was pretty cool. I thought they might pull out Hootenanny again like they did in Milwaukee.

Well, that rocked... It was literally one of the best shows of my life--I don't think I've even been to a show with so much energy and that just rocked all around. I couldn't believe at the end how long the people were screaming for the band to come back on--it was insane! Wish I could write a longer review or something, but I've been really busy these last couple of days. I just have to say that the show was really great. Oh, and I have to give a shout-out to UaBH for getting Paul to sing Meet Me Down the Alley...the first line anyway Paul leaned over and asked UaBH what song should he play, and UaBH said, "I don't know, but I know someone who wants to hear MMDtA." So, he played the first line of that, and it was literally one of those "moments." I heard the first 3 words and I started screaming like a maniac. But, and here's the kicker, I was the only one screaming. I could almost hear the crickets chirping behind me...After the first line Paul said, "And I don't remember the rest." It was funny and great--that sure was one of the highlights for me After the show I hung around outside the venue to see if I could see Paul. They weren't doing the whole bus thing so I was told that was my best shot to meet him. They had nice posters printed out for the show (and Boston's) and i was hoping to get it signed. Well, after waiting for a while Paul finally came out and he had drawn a thin moustache with a marker on his face. I'm guessing this was because Dylan is in town the whole week, and I heard they were staying in the same hotel as Dylan. Anyway, thought that was funny. Could tell that he was a bit tired and stuff, so he jumped into a cab right away. So I didn't get to get my poster signed. I was a bit disappointed about that, but I can't blame him in any way, shape or form. Hell, that show was more than enough! It was great. And if I were ever famous like him I'd probably run from the show too; crowds and strangers would sure freak me out. So, I was disappointed there was no bus thing, but the show was great! Can't complain about anything--at all... Well, it was great meeting all the people from the board too. UaBH, Kathy, FaF, gravy, KeithD, and I hope I'm not forgetting anyone else. It was a great time that's for sure...

Though NOW I can...*smacks self in head* KeithD - HE PLAYED NEVERMIND!!! You poor funny schmuck...

Hey I was just thinking was this the first show he didn't play Kiss Me On The Bus. I'm struggling to remember the exact sets of the shows I've been, let alone the others.

FYI- I spoke with Kevin Bowe after the DC show and he commented that NYC night 2 was the best show that the band had ever played. He also thought DC was more of a hit and miss proposition.

Judging from many posts here, I may have hit it right this time: I saw NY No. 2 and Philly. Two different shows, two kick ass shows! I was still reeling from NY when I went last night, and I still can't believe how impressed I was AGAIN. It's strange -- it was a different type of show -- Philly tighter and more "professional"; NY No. 2 more free-form -- but both were pure Westerberg at the core. Keep it up, Paul! Come back soon!!!!!!
