Wasn't the first show of the tour last night? Where are the reviews? Where is the setlist? Doesn't anyone from Milwaukee post here?

So you're gonna have a review and setlist for the Boston show posted by 9am the next day? I guess I've spent too much time on Pearl Jam or U2 websites where it is there DURING the show. Granted they have a much larger fan base but a guy can dream.

I don't think you were out of line either, just goofing with you, hence the Oh. I haven't grasped the connotations of the smilies. I rarely use them. I work with guys in their 40's - 60's who send emails with smilies and use phrases like "lol" in business emails. It is astonishing how pervasive these things are. In 50 years we'll all speak in acronyms. No offense taken, btw. : )

I'm not a huge fan of the smilie but because tone is so easily mis-construed online, it's the slightly lesser of two evils. Though you can over do it....

online reviews during the concert? that's just plain creepy. setlists come in. people text other people from the show. usually whoever runs the board, someone always ends up finding someone else to text in the show at various points...sometimes cell phone calls... its actually quite fun. let the pj bashing begin:)

They are a great live band. They are all about the fans. They change setlists nightly because they know fans follow them around. I was at the Boston show where they played an acoustic set prior and they weren'trepeating a song over the course of 3 nights. It was great. I love REM but their shows are practically carbon copies of one another. Paul has the luxury of doing whatever he wants because he travels in a small group. It has got to be hard to keep things fresh when you travel with tractor trailers and giant crews. I give PJ a lot of credit. let the pj bashing begin:) I could never bash PJ O'Rourke. I have all of his books. I love him. He's on Bill Maher tonight I think. Ohhhhhh, you mean Pearl Jam! *fights against urge to string together a million curses* I can say something nice about Pearl Jam, really: they fought the good fight against Ticketmaster. When 2 Westerberg tickets that cost $22 each end up costing you nearly $70 total, that's a problem. When you live too far from the venue to just pop in and pick up tickets directly, you really get reamed by Ticketmaster. Too bad PJ lost that fight...

This thread started out, rightly, in Talent Shows but I think it needs to be moved to Misc Other.

They are number one in my book followed by the Mats/Paul. Here's a question, if you could go back in time and see any concert by a person, what would it be? Mine would have to be April 3, 1994 at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, GA when Pearl Jam performed. That is the best bootleg I have anywhere. If not there, then probably one of the European 1992 shows, and third choice would be Stevie Ray Vaughn somewhere in an Austin nightclub around 1982. The Mats with Bob would fall fourth. Don't knock Pearl Jam until you give them a chance, you will be surprised.

Next up would be the Mats touring for Tim. Pearl Jam would be right around #59,375,948,383 in order from top to bottom.

I'd like to have seen the Stones touring for Exile. That Pistols show in Dallas where Sid clobbered the guy with his bass, any Hank Williams Sr., Dean Martin or Elvis Presley show. But tonight it's Paul at the Riv!

For me, I would have loved to have seen the 'mats in their live, drunken prime circa 1984-1986. From there, the Stones '72 tour, The Faces live circa '71-72, or Bon Scott era AC/DC on the Powerage tour (1978)...
