Well, I've done it now. Just bought what I believe to be third row seats (MF C, Row C?) for the Saturday, Nov. 6 show.
Thanks for the hot tip, Kathy. How the hell does something like that happen?
I guess I'll figure out in the next couple of days whether I can actually go. I'll post availability of these tickets if I rule out making the trip.

Thanks Kathy! I just got three tickets...
We should all compare seat locations to be sure TM hasn't issued duplicates....

Yeah, this is really weird....MF R Row H Seat 7 now available...I can't afford to keep upgrading my tickets. Once is enough.

This is stating the obvious, but if I had gotten up early for that pre-sale nonsense, I would be really PISSED by now. If you're going to be a bunch of evil price-gouging bastards like TM, at least give us something for our money!
Ticketmaster- Pricey and incompetent!

Well, I WAS pissed, but slowly getting over it.
I guess the promoter holds some back for his friends and family, and as he/she gets a head count on what they will need releases the unneeded tickets to the masses? Its all I can figure about this assbackward way of doing things.

If you're going to be a bunch of evil price-gouging bastards like TM, at least give us something for our money! Ticketmaster- Pricey and incompetent! I went to see Morrissey on Monday night. I bought my ticket the day of sale, right when they went on sale, and got 8th row right, against the wall. Which I thought was pretty damn good. When all the nonsense happened with TM last Friday with the Paul tickets I said to myself, "self, given that TM is fucked, why don't you just take a peek and see what's going with the Morrissey tickets?". I did and came up with a front row center seat which I immediately bought and then sold my other ticket. At the show, the guy sitting next to me told he got his ticket at the box office at noon that day. TM giveth and TM taketh away.

This kind of thing seems to happen frequently with TicketScalper. I bought my tix the old fashioned way, I went over to Marshall Fields ticket office and as they were looking for available tix, they said something like, 'no those are for the promoter' so there were sections that were blocked off the day of sale. I also think tix become available if credit cards are rejected. It always pays to keep checking TicketScalper's site to see if tix are available for shows that are "sold out".
