So what's the deal? You had to have a password to buy VIP tix? That's kinda odd....

You're going in the wrong direction. This is a benefit for Karl. I tried Loud Fast Rules with no luck.
There's something weird going on with the VIP tickets. Somewhere I read it was a chance to get into the silent auction. Big deal. I'm not gonna spend a $$$ on a guitar signed by Bruuuuuce. Wouldn't they make more money on an auction if everyone was allowed to bid?
I read somewhere else that VIP tickets will get you into a special section or special seating (on stage?). There's no seating at the Quest. If they put up a special section for VIPs that would be weird, wrong, stupid.
If they aren't gonna give out the password for VIP tics, why have it on TicketBastard?

Doesn't the Hard Rock Cafeteria -MPLS have a guitar signed by Pirner? Or was it something he wore in a video?

I think there's still a Karl Mueller bass at the Minnesota History Museum in St. Paul...and a few other Soul Asylum articles, if I remember right.
