Now that you've heard Folker, who would you suggest as Paul's backing band for a Folker tour (assume there is gonna be one for the sake of argument)?
The Figgs or You Am I would come in handy on Gun Shy and Folk Star, that's fo' sho'. And maybe some of the draggy ones could be turned into big lighter-waving arena numbers ("C'mon everybody ... BREATHE ... SOME ... NEW ... LIFE!').

Open with GPB. He could cover $100 Groom and 23 Years very well.
Then PW could do Heaven, Far as I know, etc.
For the encore they could combine forces to do Gun Shy and Folk Star.
I'm starting to hear Folker as the first real collaboration of GPB and PW onto one disc. And I like that.

If Paul does make 'appearences', I think they would likely be solo. Just a guess.

ok, solo's most likely, but forgetting reality for a minute, I was wondering out of all those hundreds of band ideas people had back in the springtime, which ones still seemed like a good idea now that Folker's out

i think paul and chris robinson would make a great pair. maybe aimee mann. i don't think paul wants too or expects to have the burden of headlining. he might be into opening up for someone and picking up a check.

Paul has said a number of times in the past several years that he would never open for anyone again since he didn't ever want to play for a crowd that wasn't there to see him.

It's interesting that back a few months when paul or vagrant had their toes in the water about touring with a band and solicited suggestions, they knew what Folker sounded like.

Noticed while doing some pub research (see the 'Paul In England ' thread!) that on the Scala site PW is listed 'With Special Guests'. I wasnt expecting an opener, just Paul on his own as on the CFMT tour, so that's a little weird. Any clues? Patrick ===== Think you're the only Replacements fan in the UK/Ireland? You're wrong! Ok... I think Paul will probably do the tour solo....although I really hope he brings a band. You guys should check out this band called ROSAVELT from Ohio who would be a stellar backing band for Paul. I saw them do a cover of Can't Hardly Wait(the TIM version) that was just amazing! The FIGGS would be good too. www.rosavelt.com ;D

I always thought if Paul went on another band tour he'd drag his ol' pals Michael Bland and Jimmy Anton with him...and maybe another guitarist... ...Ronnie Wood We can dream!
