I play it in standard tuning. I don't have the whole song tabbed out but here are the chords I use.
G/D (320033) C(add9)/G (X32033) Em7 (X22030) A(sus4) (X02230)
So basically, I play the whole song with my ring finger on D (B string, 3rd fret). Sounds pretty good to me. I think this chord pattern is one he uses quite a bit.... The verses are G/D, C(add9)/G, and Em7. The chorus is A(sus4),Em7, and C(add9)/G.
eg.
G/D Get up from a dream.... C(add9)/G Take an.... Em7 C(add9)/G How'm I feelin' better I suppose G/D How'm I lookin....
and for the chorus
A(sus4) It's a.... Em7 C(add9)/G Still get get by on those Hope that makes some sort of sense.....

Hmm, the spacing is messed up.... The C(add9)/G that follows the Em7 should be falling roughly on "suppose" and "those" etc throughout the song.

Wow, great job man! It's sounding really good.
It's definitely Asus4 during the first part of the chorus, but I don't know how I feel about the Em7-Cadd9 after it.

first part of the chorus is Asus4 for sure (x02230), but i play something else (x20230, don't know the chord name offhand, sorry) for the next chord, and then the Cadd9. also, i recommend a capo on the second fret to get it in the key of A (which is what the album recording was in), maintaining all the same chord shapes.
instead of the G/D (320033), i also suggest a Gadd9 (320203). it's a very weird chord shape in standard tuning, but i think it sounds a lot better.
oh, and one more thing: in the second chorus, where paul stops singing after "still get by...", it's Asus4, that second chord i suggested, and then an A major, twice as long as the other two chords. then a Cadd9 and a D. hope this helps!

fooled around with this one again today, this time in open A tuning. i think the album version might be done in this manner.
if you're going to play in open A, the chords you need to know include:
Aadd9 (x00230) Dadd9 (x55430) F#m (242452) Eadd9 (424252) B (x2222x) E/F#m (x77050)
verse is Aadd9, Dadd9, F#m, Dadd9
chorus is F#m, Eadd9, Dadd9, Dadd9
chorus before instrumental verse is F#m, Eadd9, B, B, Dadd9, E/F#m
