(inspired by the "paul's set up" thread)
what do you use to get that funkyass sound?
gretsch solid body (cheap) bigmuff pedal some dod echo pedal sometimes a chorus pedal occasionally a small stone pedal older fender superreverb (tube)
oscar schmitt 6 string acoustic cheap ass crate solid state amp (for acoustic, this actually sounds better than the other)
epiphone bass (cheap) whichever amp is available, but usually just right to the 4 track
boss "dr. rhythm" straight to the 4 track
(i'm thinking about buying a drum kit)

Scoot's got the Big Muff and the Small Stone! I thought I was the only one still holding onto that stuff.
ok...my main setup:
79 Fender Strat or Peavey EXP w/ piezo pu Fender Cyber-Deluxe w/ Cyber Controller Boss Floor tuner stereo volume pedal to run Peavey piezo pu to direct box.
most of my pedals just sit in a drawer, I just use the effects on the cyber, or in my recording software. and I gave up on the Dr. Rhythm, in favor of Smart Loops.
oh...and that would be a great band name....Big Muff And The Small Stones...

I have a Yamaha acoustic--model is somewhere in the low 400s I think. I don't have it with me right now, so I can't tell ya. A Fender Strat from like the late 80s. Certainly nothing like that '62 prize RJ has... A small vox amp... And a mini-cassette Sony voice recorder... I'm living the life I tell ya. I think that's the setup the unabomber had in his shack as well...

I play a Fender Telecaster and a Epiphone Les Paul Studio.
For amps I have a Fender Blues Deluxe connected via Y-chord to a little Vox Pathfinder for added effect.
On the floor I have a Jekyll & Hude Ultimate Overdrive and from Danelectro the Tuna Melt tremelo and a Dan Echo.
