Soldano heads are hand-made, all tube guitar amps that cost more money than I'm willing to spend as of yet. I think they start at around $1200 and go up to their 300w $3000 monster.
I could have sworn Paul was using a little Fender amp for the harp, and a Fender Acoustasonic for the Taylor 12-string.

I asked him about gear in Louisville. He said that he used an 8-Track ADAT for "Folker." He said he used to use two 8-Track ADAT's, but one of them brokedown, so he stuck with the 8 because "that's all you really need."
He also said he had some old amps. I recall him mentioning an early 60's Fender Amp. Unfortunately I can't recall the model.
In concert he seems to like using:
Fender Telecasters (Standards and Thinlines) Gibson SG's Les Paul's (occasionally) Gibson ES-355 (or something like that)

I remember seeing him play Louisville and Covington where he used Les Paul's and a few different Gibson ES-335's. For those of you interested in the ES-335 but don't have the budget to go buy one for yourself check out Epiphone's DOT and DOT Studio guitars. Just as good as a Epi Les Paul for even less money. The day after the Covington show I picked up a DOT Studio at Guitar Center for around $220 and that's about the only guitar I ever play anymore.
