I'm completely clueless about this stuff so for the other clueless folks out there, here's some kinda overview of how this whole bit torrent thing works: dessent.net/btfaq/Thanks Liam and thank Ralph for taping/sharing.

It keeps timing out. I'm new to BT, but my guess is that there are so many people downloading it from just one person.
Thanks though!

Oh really? I have been starting it over... many times... thanks lol. Well? Is it working for you? Another bit of advice... DO NOT try and listen to it until the download is complete. I'm sure there are plug ins that allow you to hear the download while it's in progress, but to be on the safe side wait until it is complete. Waiting until completion will ensure that there are no errors.

It just says "connecting to peers" with an occasional error popping up.
Maybe I should just wait until more people are hosting the file.

It just says "connecting to peers" with an occasional error popping up. Maybe I should just wait until more people are hosting the file. You could wait. That would give you a faster speed as there are more seeds. Keep your window open. Sooner or later you'll connect and you'll be golden.

Now if you have the bit torrent software installed on your computer, all you'll need to do it is double click it. You should then get a window that asks you where you want it to be saved. Choose where you want to save it and the download should start.

I have downloaded the programme. I have the file and am downloading that. I also have an error message reading, 'Problem connecting to tracker - HTTP Error 1'. Taking into account that I know less than nothing about all this, is it going to work?

All change! Error message now reads, 'rejected by tracker - not authorized, to many leechers using your torent file'. Any ideas?

All change! Error message now reads, 'rejected by tracker - not authorized, to many leechers using your torent file'. Any ideas? Did you hit the "Upload Torrent" button on the menu strip? If so, that is for when you want to upload a torrent to their tracker to share with others (you would be the person everyone leeches off of). You want to download the file at the top of the link that I provided in the initial post. Then see my comments to DDog for the rest (See reply #10). If you've already done the stuff I outlined to you in this paragraph, then I'm at a loss. But it sounds like you have hit the "upload torrent" button.

Very cool, thanks Liam. But since I am stuck in the dark ages of dial up, I hope some generous person can maybe weed this on the message board or something? Okay, I'm basically begging for a copy which I would re-weed here....

Isn't there some sort of rule about having to upload a certin amount in order to download a certin amount?
