I don't really care if the lyrics are printed or not. What I do think would be neat though would be photographs of Paul's actual handwritten lyrics to see all the changes and revisions and stuff the songs went through.

Even though it detracts a little bit from the fun, I'm geeky enough that I like having an "official" set of lyrics to reference. Although Claypigeon's idea strikes me as a good one too. (I actually wanted to vote for Kucinich out of pity, anyone who uses pie charts during radio debates needs all the help he can get )

I agree TTBO - take 'em along in the big book, but let everyone decipher them on their own until then.

Eh. I can never figure out lyrics, so I'd like to see printed ones.
I'm no fun.

I have to go W/no F*#@ing way.
I really enjoy trying to decipher the lyrics.
There are some songs, I've listened to for years & still have no idea what Paul's mumbling. But every once in awhile, a previously garbled bit becomes clear. Then it's sorta like listening to the same old song again for the first time.
Besides, does Paul EVER sing ANY song the same way twice?

Sorry to repeat myself, but he's a great songwriter that most of us are fanatical about, so I prefer to know the lyrics. A missing line can really detract from a song (I'm a mile deep though/I'm a mild deep doe). But maybe the loss of mystery would be equally as bad.

Hi everyone, I am one of those people who like to know the lyrics. I have been searching the net for days trying to find the lyrics for Come Feel Me Tremble. No luck so far.

hi Jill, (she's an indie rocker, and nothings gonna stop her...)
if you need help discerning some lyrics, you will need to contact our resident LE (lyrics expert) "torethatbridgeout"... you can usually find him around creeping around these parts in the middle of the night...
p.s. he is "in" with all of the internet lyric sites, so he is sure to steer you in the right direction...

much easier than actually listening to the songs.
hey I did my share of ear-to-the-speaker CFMT/DMS lyric deciphering and typing up. Most of em are or were here.

And, no Paul NEVER does sing any song the same way twice -- that's part of why we love him so, isn't it?

I voted no, as although I think a great deal of enjoyment is added when you can read the lyrics to songs- in pauls case it's better the way they arent included.
I genuinely think, a lot of the time he works hard on making lyrics into two different sounding words intentionally- in fact it's sometimes just too much of a coincidence when a word (or even sentance) can be heard 5 ways. I mean many bands do it (and many intentionally) but with paul it occasionally seems extra worked upon.
I now think that its much more fascinating that all lyrics will remain a mystery (unless singer decides differently)
I once looked at those misheard lyrics pages too. and recall I was surprised that I found very few of the lines I'd heard or misheard posted which reminds me how many people hear different things in songs?. This is I guess the sole reason I say no.

Printed lyrics are great. especially for non native english speakers. That's when I read the lyrics of "there she goes" by the LA's that I realised it wasn't a dumb love song but one about heroin addiction.

I'd have to say no to printed lyrics. Granted I'm am very much guilty of buying a CD that has printed lyrics, throwing it in the CD player and following along with the liner notes. This kind of makes the songs and music lose some of their magic. I don't know. I just feel like if they're going to put the lyrics in there they might as well jot the guitar chords down too just to take away any uniqueness the song may have had to begin with. I think part of the fun, as has been mention several times, with Paul's stuff is the trying to figure out the words, or make up your own words. Paul obviously realizes this too, just listen to "Soldier of Misfortune," and "My Daydream," from CFMT and see if you don't think he's clued into this. Also the fact that the words and lines of songs could be interpreted by many people as being something different is really cool. Why shouldn't we all be able to pick what we want to hear? It kind of makes each PW song like a Choose Your Own Adventure type thing. Which is really neat. PW's not the only one whose good at this, but that's kind of who we're chatting up here so, we'll leave it at that unless someone brings up someone else.
