I know it's not off DMS or CFMT but since it's out there already...
Lookin' Up In Heaven
Sunday morning, I felt afraid Someone leaving in the world today I looked low I looked high I only missed one friend Before I go, I look high again I went lookin’ up in heaven But you wasn’t anywhere in sight They asked me to stick around But without you it just wasn’t right So I went lookin’ up in heaven But you wasn’t anywhere in sight
Sunday evening, I get the blues Someone sleeping in her tennis shoes I looked low and I looked high Only missed one friend Before I go, I look high again I went lookin’ up in heaven But you wasn’t anywhere in sight They asked me to stick around But without you it just wasn’t right I went lookin’ up in heaven But you wasn’t anywhere in sight
I met a little angel She asked me if I could step outside “I’ll make you forget her, I’ll make you forget her Baby won’t you watch me fly?”
The years go by, now I have grown Sunday night and I ain’t alone So you look low And I look high Miss another friend Before I go, I look high again
(I love you)
Lookin’ up in heaven But you wasn’t anywhere in sight They asked me to stick around But without you it just wasn’t right I went lookin’ up in heaven But you wasn’t anywhere in sight They invited me to stick around awhile But I told them there was another place I had to check out tonight
I went lookin’ up in heaven I went lookin’ up in heaven

That's the one on the compilation CD Starbucks was flogging a couple months ago. The liner notes say it's from the forthcoming "Folker" album.

I think it's a very good compilation. PW song is great of course, but also Jayhawks, cool song by Josh Ritter, another one I like by Sukilove, and also Vic Chesnutt. thanks.is it good? what style?

"Sunday morning, I felt afraid"
Make that "Someday morning"
I think it's a better song than anything on the two releases

I think the knock on it was it's another dead friend song
I agree it's good, a little Beatley like My Daydream, groovy like What a Day

is it acoustic? electric? better than anything than on the other two releases? thats quite a review.i hope your right! The song seems to be propelled by an acoustic 12-string, but also has drums and bassl. As far as it being better, than anything on the other releases, that's too hard to say. Personally I prefer Meet Me in the Alley and Crackle & Drag, but, since I just found the song today I will have to reserve final judgement for later. Hey Paulie, if you want, I can e-mail you the song. Just send your e-mail address to my P.M. thingy.

I take it back, just has a good chance to listen to CFMT
Making Me Go Daydream (although 8 less 'come ons' would be nice) What A Day For A Night
are better than LUIH
agree on the dead people songs (too many)
never did like Sylvia

Unless you're opposed to giving your money to Starbuck's (perfectly understandable), it's pretty easy to get a hold of. They've got stacks of 'em.

I thought the sun never set on the Starbucks empire, but maybe they don't do their CD marketing overseas ...
I can send a casette copy but I'm a techno Neanderthal, unable to burn or upload
... at least your record shops are brimming with used copies of "Boink" -- hey, I'll send you a Starbucks CD if you send me a Boink LP!

Isn't the disc is available online for overseas fanatics? I thought Kathy had a link to an online store that was selling it.
