Lucinda Williams's album makes Spin magazine's top 40 of the year, and the mini-review highlights "Bleeding Fingers" as "the best Paul Westerberg song Paul Westerberg never wrote."
First, I was kind of surprised to see that album in there, since it wasn't really all that well received generally.
Second, if you think about it "the best Paul Westerberg song Paul Westerberg never wrote" is pretty high praise. I mean, there have been quite a few, seems to me. Maybe a thread for the general discussion crowd.

Did you see their review of CFMT? They misquoted the final couplet from "Here Comes A Regular". That's it. That was the review. Odd.

I don't have the mag anymore, but it just quoted the last few lines from "Here Comes a Regular", getting a few of the lyrics wrong in the process. I have no idea what that's supposed to mean when presented as a "review," but I think they gave the album a B.
