All i am saying is this....I came onto the board cause i like paul and his music,although i think he can be a little over the top acting like he's some hot shot rock star,but i like him none the less.So then i find out about the dvd and since i couldnt find it i post asking if someone can make me a copy....oh no,no reply not even a sorry but we dont have a dvd burner.It came off as rude.So yes i am selling my copy but not for $100,im selling it for $25.Life works this way people.I'll be posting here more often just to show my love for this board.And yes wilco fan's are much nicer about sharing material.

Hey guys - sorry I am late to the party. I've been busy. Just spent the past few months joining 150 of my favorite bands' boards and begging for free copies of stuff. Man, there are some generous folks out there. The Jewel board is especially nice but the Right Said Fred board is pretty great too (Blake, the guys say hi and hope that you are enjoying the DVD they sent you.) Can't say the same about the Spice Girls board or the Hillary Duff board - those are some of the biggest pricks around (by the way, Blake, DffRks23 wants to know where you've been and wonders when you are going to send her the $5 for the Hillary Unplugged disc.)

Anyway, got a lot of great free stuff - those suckers will fall for anything - and have been busy selling it for several times it's value. I find that if I sign the artist's name on the item, the price goes up 5 fold. So with the $97,000 I've made so far I just haven't had time to stop and insult anyone lately. I promise to do more of that as what says "I appreciate being with kindred spirits and likeminded fans" more than making obnoxious generalizations and ignorant comments about them.

Well, gotta run. The Lindsay Lohan board has been a little too perky lately and need to ruin their buzz. Take care and remember if anyone is feeling kind enough to give me copies of rare and hard to find albums, I promise only to sell them back for less than 4 times their value. After all, I may be a prick but I still have a conscious.

Hey Blake, tell mom I'll be home this weekend and if she's not busy pretending to be a telemarketer for Jerry's kids we can go sell Girl Scout cookies for double the price.

By the way, I am as big a Wilco fan as they come and have shared enough of their stuff on and off their board to be able to say that you are thee whinyest m*therf*cker I've seen in a long time. Those fans are sometimes too meek to call a person out on the sort of antics you're trying to pull but you ain't getting away with that sh*t around here.

Since we're getting things off our chest, I'd just like to share that Zook hasn't returned my calls since he conned me into taking him to the Britney Spears show in Chi-town. Since we met here, I expected him to be a prick, but I guess I was surprised to find out he was such a tramp.

Blake, sorry that you feel that way about this board. all I know is that I've been the recipient of a lot of people's generosity here on this board. One member/guest comes to mind: pline. That guy's been over the top generous to me. And I've tried to carry the good will forward by sharing stuff as well when I can.

But I had a feeling, in the past, that some folks just lurked on the board, didn't participate in any threads, but they seemed to come forward when it came time to weeding. it seemed as if some were a bit mercenary in their pleadings and begging for shows. I understand if someone can't afford a burner and can't reweed and I don't mind sharing. But it’s the hit and run aspect of asking for stuff that sort of bothers me. I’m not saying you were doing this, but I’m just trying to explain my over all feeling when it comes to sharing with a member I’ve had little or no contact with. sometimes it feels better if you know the member, or at least know the member posts and participates. And don't forget----it 's a lot easier to acquire things, not just the dvd, but the bootlegs when there's a flurry of activity going on rather than when there's a lull between tours. Like it is now.

Was it rude for people not to have responded to your request for the dvd? maybe, maybe not. try not to take it too personally. i've posted stuff here where nobody responded and it sat there like turd floating in a punchbowl until I deleted it. But I guess where you unknowingly stepped in it was your first post asking for the dvd, for someone to make you a copy. And then the post about selling your copy, which means you didn’t care for it very much to own it to begin with. And you didn’t post saying that you’d make a copy for someone who doesn’t have it, but that you'd SELL it.

I think that rankled people a little bit because it went against the ethos of sharing. But it’s your personal property, you can do with it what you want.

Once you changed your name to K-Smorg I just lost all respect for you.

In line with what FreeRider said, when I first came around I had nothing in terms of Mats bootlegs or stuff and though I wasn't asking for anything, TomT was kind enough to hook me up. He sent me several things and I was struck by his generousity. And there are many others who have been kind to me as well so I can say without a doubt that pricks is not a word I would generally associate with most of this board.

And what would Paul do? Probably smack Blake in the head with a guitar is my guess.

Come on, he's obviously joking. On one would ask for a free "copy" and then complain when no one can or would copy the DVD and then offer to sell his for 500% profit WITHOUT offering to make numerous copies for those that can't find a copy at no cost. Otherwise he would be one of those worthy of scorn.
