played golf on saturday and could NOT stop humming love you in the fall... might be the weather, but I think it was the riff.
REally love the way he sings...never forget youuuu. Simple little song, ala mono, but infectious.

"Forgettable" is one of those criticisms that crosses the line from opinion and into factual inaccuracy. There are a lot of valid critiques of the soundtrack, but "forgettable" isn't one of them. Even you hate Right to Arm Bears, you're almost guaranteed to be humming it for hours after hearing it.

Even you hate Right to Arm Bears, you're almost guaranteed to be humming it for hours after hearing it. Are you speaking from experience?

Eye of the beholder. I have been playing Right to Arm Bears over and over. Catchy as hell and easily in my top 30. All these songs all holding up well for me even after a dozen listens. i absolutely love this soundtrack (if i skip deathray, yorn & heads). sure, some of the songs are cartoony, but shit people. they are songs for a cartoon. like i said on a different thread, right to arm bears is one of the only songs that wouldn't stand up on its own on another album, but that doesn't change the fact that i listen to it constantly. and yes, my 4 year old loves it. nicely done, paul.

But is "I Belong" memorable enough to gain traction in an Oscar showdown?

Maybe I'm a little embarrassed to like it, but I like it. And maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I appreciate the not so subtle political message. I think it's pretty ballsy to put the line "Hail to the chief with a shotgun in his teeth" in a kid's movie.
