speaking of side/cover projects, how many of you own the soundtrack for the movie "Backbeat"?...
27 minutes of pure, unadulterated rock-n-roll from the uber-group: Greg Dulli, Dave Grohl, Mike Mills, Thurston Moore, Dave Pirner, Don Fleming....
one of my favorite records...

I had it on cassette, since lost. Was a little disappointed in the film though. Soundtrack was better than the movie.

Not a bad line up.
If you want to hear some cool covers check out Me First & the Gimme Gimmes. Punk covers of standards, something to offend everyone.

two 'uber' s. attention everyone: Mr El Goodo is trying to engross me by being a 'funny' guy (when all he's really managed to do is raise my blood pressure). you should be ashamed. if i weren't so gd nice, i'd report you to the administration for this. and guess what, funnyman... Kathy and I are personal <Bostonian> friends, so perhaps you should take that as a warning ! you know what happened over at monolyth, don't you?

and Gravy, you too. you're on thin ice.
I've already covered the Me First and the Gimme Gimme ground, and your (obvious) redundacy is greatly frowned upon by the management.
thank-you.

anyone remember the backbeat band on some mtv awards show a few years back? they did a song or two in the regular telecast (rocked!), but then they played during the closing credits with a scorching version of "helter skelter".
it was amazing.
