Shady lane, everybody wants one...
That's actually the only album of theirs that I have, I should really pick up more. I hear good things about Malkmus' solo stuff, too.

Should also mention that I saw Spiral Stairs' new band open for Wilco a year or two ago. Good times.
Top 5 Pavement (& post-Pavement) album recommendations?

I am not real big on Pavement, and the new malkmus and the Jicks album misses me. His first solo album both his fans and he disown. I think that one is a masterpiece. It is one of my favorite records of the past 5 years. Oddly, I just busted out "Slanted and Enchanted" the other day and it still misses me.
The S/T first solo record rules.

Now you're talking Goodo!
Pavement definitely filled the void, after the Replacements broke up. I love Slanted & Enchanted (even bought the Slanted & Enchanted: Luxe & Reduxe, last year, because of the extra stuff). Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain, was also terrific. Even the later stuff (wowee zowee, Brighten the Corners, and Terror Twilight), though not as consistently good as those other two albums, have a lot of quality songs.
If you want a good DVD of the band, check out the two-disc package: Slow Century. It has a couple of concerts; an hour long documentary; all the videos they ever did, and some other stuff that I can't recall right now.

Scoot, Scoot, what in hell is the deal with old ass Alex Lifeson picking a fight with someone on NYE ?
Did someone finally stand up and tell him his guitar sounds just like shit?

I had no idea that Alex's name was not Lifeson and was that long - Zivojinovich. Perhaps some cool, angry rock songs to be writen soon? Or a cover of F*ck the Police.

STOP ENCOURAGING ME!!!!
"Zivojinovich" translates into "son of life".
