Yeah, there's been some remixing and remastering done, for sure. It was one of the first things I noticed, and it actually sounds like most of the songs have been tweaked a little, which is great. You'll notice the vocals are a lot higher in the mix on 'Stain Yer Blood', for just one quick example...

i think c'mon, c'mon, c'mon might have to become my new theme song. I've been singing this out loud all day at work today. It's criminally catchy.

kathy, you do like 'a star is bored', right? I'm invoking my Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination (all that Law & Order watching has finally paid off).

How many of these songs were not released on official studio albums?
Dyslexic Heart All that I had A Star is Bored Stain Yer Blood Men Without Ties Nowhere Man C'Mon C'Mon C'Mon Alternate Once Around the Weekend Seein' Her
Then there are the songs that didnt even make it 33rd of July Waiting for Somebody Everything goes Wrong Sunshine
And let us not forget the Replacements Portland We know the Night Birthday Gal Nowhere is my Home If only you were Lonely Satellite (Tommy, I know)
Honestly, I don't think there's ever been an artist as great as Westerberg, in any medium, who's been such a terrible editor and judge of his own work. What makes him hear a great song and go, no, leave that one off and give it to the sitcom album?

It's like when he starts thinking about a PW album he grows self-conscious; and when someone invites him to write a one-off he gets wild and lethal. Springsteen also wrote a lot of fantastic b-sides that never made it on albums though, so maybe he's not alone. Or maybe these guys figure they'll hold some chestnuts back so they can have a retirement fund.

Editing your own stuff is hard. Paul may not be an ace, but I'm not sure he's subpar. Then again, he had As Far As I Know in the can for Stereo/Mono and sat on it.

Anybody else think Paul would do a great job covering Aerosmith?
He sounds a lot like S. Tyler on C'mon, C'mon, C'mon.
