I think the "Bearsville Version" are entirely different recordings mixed by Tony Berg. I am most excited to hear these. According to this"The band, now with new guitarist Bob 'Slim' Dunlap, recorded two sessions for DON'T TELL A SOUL. The first was with producer Tony Berg at Bearsville Studios in Woodstock, New York in early 1988. Supposedly enough material was recorded for an album which was then scrapped because the sound was too raw and loud. A second session in the late summer and fall of 1988 with producer Matt Wallace took place at Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles."

So these aren’t the canned recordings...........just the original release remixed by Matt Wallace??
That’s too bad.........not that it won’t be better than the original release but the Woodstock cuts would be more interesting
I’ll take it though

So... it's a DTAS reissue with a bunch of outtakes that have already been released plus a 1989 live show? Color me less than impressed. You have to be kidding....This all stuff that has never been widely heard or bootlegged. I can't believe they are doing it, but this is EPIC!!!

Most of the canned album is on there.

I am guessing other than a couple song outtakes and the few songs on inconcerated none of us have heard this. Matt Wallaces mixes probably his mix down before it was sent out to chris lord for cremesicle treatment

IMO, looks like disc 1 is the standard studio release, doesn't say "Matt Wallace Remix". Disc 2 is the interesting one, the Tony Berg/Bearsville sessions. Plus some Tom Waits stuff I have not heard. Discs 3-4 is the whole concert that Inconcerated Live is based on. The audio quality of that promo disc was pretty good, so I'm assuming the whole concert is the same. I'm in.

It says MATT WALLACE MIX, that’s not the standard released version.

Yeah this is cool. Happy to see it. The live stuff is from the Inconcerated show right?

It says MATT WALLACE MIX, that’s not the standard released version. You're correct, Chris Lord Alge did mix the original. All of this based on Amazon's site, so we'll see what the heck it is all about. If this is all a go, hopefully they'll have both vinyl and CD release. so I can easily rip the CD files into my standard FLAC files.

I was wondering if the sequence of songs was how Paul had thought it should have been?

I was wondering if the sequence of songs was how Paul had thought it should have been? Just what I was thinking - using the original, proposed title? It’s gotta be “reimagining” - zero sense in doing it otherwise

All right, I take back what I said now that it's clearer what this is. I'm excited for it - I hope the remix sounds noticeably different.

My apologies to Paul for thinking he may have been slowly retiring before our eyes! It's obvious I don't know a damn thing.
I should have known better, that Paul's work ethic borders on mania. Like he said before about his hiatus after Suicaine, he didn't stop working at all. He still recorded in the basement while helping to raise Johnny.
So this bit of silence on his part meant he was beavering away on compiling all this stuff. Paul, I'm sorry that I ever thought you were retiring. I will never believe you're done until I hear it from you!
