Are they reissuing Friday Night Is Killing Me? Yes, it is one of the Pledge Music incentives.

Watched Bash & Pop on Colbert last night. They kept playing through, even when Colbert came out to close them out. He even unplugged all their amps! Not sure if it was planned or not, but it was pretty funny. Tommy then shrugs like "You got me".

Tommy sounded pretty rough.

Really loving Tommy's new tracks. He seems to be going through a great period of songwriting.
Would love to hear the stuff the Mat's worked on a year or 2 back though!

Paul said several of the I Don't Care's songs were first new Mat's songs. Tommy has said a few of his new songs were once new Mat's songs. So.. they likely saw the light on day in some way (I'm not sure which new B&P songs were onceMat's song because he did not specify in the interview I read recently, just there there were some.)

Saw Tommy last night at Great Scott in Boston / Allston, MA. Opening band, So So Glo's were much tighter sounding than I expected. Really great. Tommy played a solid set. Lots of silly banter, some harkening back to the Mat's days, and Colbert happenings. Mostly new album tracks, but old ones like "Fast & Hard", "Friday Night", solo stuff too. He might have been kind of drunk after the crowd bough him whiskey's, that or he just did not care to sing my fave B&P song "Never Aim to Please" the best at the end of the set. It was fun though!

I feel like Tommy sounds tipsy pretty much everytime i see performances lately. Even on Colbert it sounded like it to me. Maybe that's just how he sounds. Can't wait for the show.

Well... I heard some mixed reviews of the shows, but the Troubadour show was INCREDIBLE! I wasn't expecting a whole lot even though i'm a massive fan of everything Tommy, but they blew me away. One of the better rock n roll shows i've been to.
I assume (like the mats and paul himself) that they can be hit or miss, but it was all hit for me.

Agreed The Troubadour show was fantastic. Great crowd... Tommy and the band were on the top of their game... it really could not have been better. The opening act...The Yawpers... were also awesome.

A good friend went to the Troubadour show and his report is consistent with rich1 and nazareth - great set, tight, energized performance. Seems like it was one of the best of the tour.
And yea, The Yawpers are a great band. Tommy produced their upcoming record, recorded a couple months back.
